In this painting I have integrated invented metaphor into an extended plein air painting. Some of the occurrences and objects seen are fictional. I am using these fictional elements in a real setting as my means of introspection while being true to my direction. I still keep my palette basic and representative, strictly rendering, rather than pushing into the direction I want them into interpretive expressionism.
