Being a Fool

To risk of wealth,
appears foolish to some,
yet of great fortunes
from such foolishness come.

To run the risk
of hurt and pain,
is still the path
to love's refrain.

Caution to some
means "to keep one safe",
yet safety can spell
loss of love, post haste.

So I stand a fool
in the eyes of some,
and accept life's risk.
It's how the prize is won.
