Dad, Palmer Reque Grorud. Lt. Colonel, Medical Corp., U.S. Army Air Corps, Fairchild Air base in Fairbanks, Alaska.  He immigrated to Oregon in 1939 to fulfill his residency requirement, worked as an MD in the Kaiser shipyards in Portland then was drafted and served in Alaska and Alabama.  He started a medical practice in Springfield, Oregon in 1948.  He met nurse Arlene Michels at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene 1949. The rest is history as shown above.

My Great-Grandfather came to Wisconsin in 1870, Andrew Grorud photo ca. 1914
perhaps with grandson Vilas (son of Helmer) or Alton (son of Peter).

My Great Great-Grandfather, Jørgen Olsen came to Wisconsin in 1882 with his youngest child, Grete,
shortly after his wife Marta Marie Påulsdatter died.
