TAMMY GRIMES
(Lady Bracknell) has an extensive career spanning theatre, television, film and recordings. She has starred in the New York productions of High Spirits, California Suite, Look After Lulu, The Cradle Will Rock, Bus Stop, Tartuffe, A Month in the Country, The Waltz of The Toreadors, Paducah, and 42nd Street. Ms Grimes won the Tony Award for Best Musical Comedy Actress for her portrayal of Molly in The Unsinkable Molly Brown and for Best Dramatic Actress for Amanda in Private Lives. She has appeared in the title role of Molly by Simon Gray as Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit, and toured with the national company of The Lark. Her Shakespearean roles include Mistress Quickly in Henry IV, Part One, Mopsa in The Winter's Tale, and Kate in Taming of The Shrew. Her wide-ranging experience in television and film includes her own ABC television series and the made-for-television movie You Can't Go Home Again and such films as The Runner Stumbles and Somebody Killed Her Husband. Ms. Grimes has recorded numerous albums including Tammy Grimes, The Unsinkable Tammy Grimes, the cast albums of High Spirits and The Unsinkable Molly Brown, and all of Maurice Sendaks works for Caedmon records. She has performed throughout the country in a one-woman show created by Richard Jameson-Bell.
