We hear you're quite a baker.
I love to make bread. My specialities are whole grain and whole wheat. I also like to do various dim sum- my Chinese cook taught me. And I make an excellent fruit souffle' without egg yolks.

Do you have a favorite piece of kitchen equipment?
A fabulous wheat grinder given to me by a friend- It's huge, but it allows me to make the most delicious wheat bread with an entirely different flavor from that of regular wheat bread.

If you could invite three people in all of history to dinner, who would they be?
Sir Winston Churchill, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda Fitzgerald, who I portrayed in a play called "The Last Flapper."

Name three things you always have in the refrigerator.
Broccoli, cabbage and oranges.

What was your most memorable meal?
It was a Thanksgiving banquet at a Korean restaurant in Chicago. The meal was a wonderful cross between American and Korean cooking. Afterward, we all had to stand and sing a song. We took turns going around the table. I sang "K-K-K-Katie"!

Is there a food scene in the movies that you'll never forget"
Yes, the hilarious disaster dinner in "Alice Adams," starring Katharine Hepburn, Fred MacMurray and Hattie McDaniel.

What foods would Catherine Martell, the character you play on "Twin Peaks," like to eat?
Raw oysters, steak tartars- and Spam, if necessary.
