Playbill, A Taste of Honey 'Bio', July, 1981

AMANDA PLUMMER (Jo) recently won the Theatre World Award and was nominated for a 1981 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in such distinguished company as Eva Le Gallienne and Elizabeth Taylor for her portrayal of Jo in A Taste of Honey. Miss Plummer last appeared with Roundabout as Vera in A Month in the Country. She was a member of the "Second Company" at the Williamstown Theatre Festival during the summer of 1978 and she appeared in productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Overcoat; Wild Oats; and Gossip. She made her New York debut as Lily Agnes in the Manhattan Theatre Club production of Artichoke. Last season she appeared at the Public Theater in Alice in Concert, and as Frankie in Member of the Wedding at the Hartford Stage Co. She was acclaimed in her recent film debut with Burt Lancaster and John Savage in Cattle Annie and Little Britches and will be seen as Ellen James in the upcoming World According to Garp. She has done three radio plays for Hyman Brown.
