Rice, perhaps his mo. was rep. in Oct. foll. and 1643, deac. and selectman, b. a. 1594, brot. from Eng. w. (4625) Thomasine, and ch. by her, (4625iii) Edward, b. 1618; (4625i) Henry; Edmund; (4625v) Thomas; (4625vii) Matthew; (4625ix) Samuel; and (4625x) Joseph, had here (4625xi) Benjamin, b. 31 May 1640.

"His w. d. 18 June 1654; and he m. 1 Mar, 1655, (4624[2]) Mercy, wid. of (4624[2][1]) Thomas Brigham, wh. surv. him, and had (4624[2]a) Ruth b. 29 Sept. 1659; and (4624[2]b) Ann, 19 Nov. 1661; was among early sett. of Marlborough, and he d. 3 May 1663, all the ten ch. having div. of his est. His wid. m. (4624[2][3]) William Hunt."

"Edmund, yeoman, Sudbury, propr. and selectman, 1639; frm. May 13, 1642, deputy 1643. Memb. of com. to convey lands at Whip Sufferage in 1657. He deposed 3 (2) 1656, ae. about 62 years. [Mdx. Files] Rem. to Marlborough. Thomas, Samuel and Joseph R. were also petitioners for church privileges there."
