1 (2314) Samuel's birthplace is apparently unknown. According to one website, "The Mills family traces their ancestral roots back to Norman origin, and first appeared in ancient medieval records in Hampshire." In 1891, the greatest distribution in the UK was in Lancashire. A Mills DNA study is underway, but nobody from the Dedham branch has contributed to it.
