"Under terms of father's will, he [(19722) John Hulins received the family house and lands at his mother's death. In 1639 he was a yeoman at Rodborough. His will is dated 24 January 1638/1639; it names wife (19723) Margaret and children (19723i) Henry, (19723ii) Lawrence, (19723iii) John, (9661) Margaret m. (9660) Blisse, (19723iv) Joane m. (19723iv[1]) Beard, (19723v) Alice m. (19723v[1]) Browne, (19723vi) Mary. The will directs that he be buried in the churchyard of Rodborough. He willed his house and lands to son Henry, on the condition that Henry pay the legacies stipulated in the will. John signed his mark."
-- "Thomas and Margaret Hulins Bliss of Hartford, Connecticut" by Myrtle Stevens Hyde New Haven. The American Genealogist, October 1976, Vol. 52 pp. 193-197" c/o http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=sanford-shulsen&id=I8566

(19722) John's wife is given by many as "Margaret Lawrence"; but there appears to be no basis for this, other than that one of their sons was named (19723ii) Lawrence Hulins.

"Re the "Lawrence" name. See "American Genealogist", Oct 1976 (v. 52 No. 4), pp 193-197. Article says... (9661) Margaret [Hulins]'s parents are named (19722) John Hulins (/Hulings) and (19723) Margaret, but no last name for her..."

Haplogroup I2b (formerly I1b2) reaches its peak frequency in modern Germany. In Britain, it is associated primarily with the Anglo-Saxon invasion of the 5th Century AD/CE (see below):

houseofnames.com describes Chapin as an Anglo-Saxon name, originally given to a chaplain (a minister of a church or sanctuary), first recorded in Hampshire on the South Coast of England. The Saxons spread into Devonshire with the expansion of the Kingdom of Wessex in the 8th Century. Image adapted from Wikipedia
