As noted, all the above is speculation. Nobody really knows who George Farr's parents were, nor whence he came. A great deal could be learned, however, from the names of his children: John, Lazarus, Benjamin, Joseph, Mary, Martha, Elizabeth, and Sarah. A search of the LDS records shows that all these (as well as George and Thomas) appear together in the Farr family in the late 1500s and early 1600s only in Bedfordshire. The names George, Sara, Thomas, John, Joseph, Benjamin and Mary, in fact, occur in two generations of the Roger Farre family alone. By simply noting the death years of (9332) William and his wife Margery, and considering their ages, it is easy to see that not only (4666) George, but also the mysterious (9333iv_a) Thomas and his father (9333iv) Robert fit easily into this family.
A Thomas and Eleanor Farr were in America, according to the following:
"Middlesex County Records, Vol. III (compiled by John Cordy Jeaffreson, Middlesex County Records Society at the Clerwell Sessions House, 1888). For the year of 1656(/57):
"List of Capital Felons, pardoned on condition of transportation:-- Elianor wife of Thomas Farre, Thomas Snell, Abraham Staple, James Mason, Elizabeth Smith and Thomas Haughton were conditionally pardoned to be Transported etc."

Tim Farr disputes that this Thomas came here, though (which might explain why different sites give different death dates):
"I now have proof that Thomas Farr and E. Creed did not have any issue and that Thomas Farr died in England. E. Creed did go to PA as an endentured servant for adultery. I know that this Thomas Farr was not the father of (9280) Stephen Farr of Concord/Billerica MA."

There was also a Thomas Farr in Boston on 2 Feb. 1645, the son of one Thomas Farrer of Burnley, Lancashire and the brother of Henry Farr, a mariner. On the above date, the younger Thomas executed a power of attorney, according to. Note that this Thomas was a Farrer, a family unrelated to (though often confused with) the Farrs.
