32. Elijah (/Elisha) Shoemaker
(32) Elijah Shoemaker was Sherrif, and afterward Associate Justice, of Tioga Co., NY 1828
(32[2]) Catherine Floyd was daughter of Judge Thomas Floyd (presumably descended from William Floyd, a signer of the Declaration of Independence) and Katherine Jones.
There was a "Nicholas Shoemaker 2nd" of Towanda, Bradford, PA who married Jesta A. Keeler 10 Dec. 1835 in Towanda. I seriously doubt that this was my (iii) Nicholas. "Nicholas Shoemaker" was also listed three times (1843,59,60) as Justice of the Peace of Town for Barton, Tioga, NY; but this may have been (65viii) Nicholas (s/o (64) Daniel Shoemaker) or some other.
Pvt. Franklin M. Shoemaker was in F Co., 10th Wis. Volunteer Infantry
