Haplogroup R1b1b2 has a high correlation with the Atlantic Modal Haplotype (AMH), the most common haplotype in the world. The Ferdinandus Vansichelaer haplotype, however, differs from the AMH in 2 of 6 markers and is not very common: There are only two exact matches on Ysearch -- one from Ireland, and one from Wales. The result is consistent with the Dutch or Belgian ancestry postulated for the Van Sickles.
