Instructions for successful configuration of Netscape versions 3X.

First, locate and start Netscape.= The screen will look similar to this:

Click the Options menu:

Click on General Preferences:


Check the area in the middle of this screen.  Make sure that you enter this URL:
"http://www.pcez.com" in the "Browser Starts With" field.  You may also customize
this to the website of your choice.

Now, click on the Images tab at the top:

Where is states Display Images click on After Loading.
Click on the OK button at the bottom of the box.
 

Now click the Options menu again and select "Mail and News Preferences."
Click the Servers tab.

Outgoing Mail (SMTP server) "smtp.pcez.com"
Inoming Mail (POP3 server) "pop3.pcez.com"
In the "POP3 User Name," enter your login name only, rather than your full email address.
Note the "News" category.  If you live in the Portland/Metro or Vancouver, WA areas, simply enter "news.pcez.com" as your News (NNTP) server.  If you live in an outside area, please call PCEZ.com Technical Support for your newsgroup configuration.  There is no need to change the News RC field.  Simply leave it blank.


Click the Identity tab aty the top of the box…

Please add the following personal information in your newsgroups client:


Your Name: Your first and/or last name, can be mixed characters, for example
"John Smith" or "bOb jOhNsOn"
Your Email: Simply type your email address, for example, bobsmith@pcez.com
Reply-To Address: Just leave this field blank.


Click the OK button at the bottom of the box.
