Setting up Netscape Communicator on PCs Made Easy - Internet Services

First start the installation program. Do this by finding the folder the file was downloaded into and double-click on the file. You will get a dialog box looking like this:


Click Yes

You will see a box that looks like this:

Then you will get this screen:

Hit the Next button.

Click Yes on the License Agreement.

Select Typical and hit the Next button.

Hit Next again.

Click on the Install button.

You'll see a box like this:

It will tell you it is complete.

Once the Communicator is running you can set it up.

Inside the Communicator program you will see a screen that looks something like this:

Select Edit 

Click on Preferences

The Box that says Location enter http:''www.pcez.com/

 

Double Click on the Mail & Groups under the Category list so it expands out the list under the Mail & Groups.


Select the Identity selection under Mail & Groups

Put your full name where it says Your name:. This can be in mixed case (ie. John Smith).

Where it says Email address: put in your full email address - jsmith#pcez.com all lower case !

DO NOT put in anything in the Reply-to address.

If you have a Company or Organization you cam put them under the Organization: box.

Select the Mail Server under the Category.


Where it says mail server user name: put in your login name only (not your email address). This name was given to you at the time you signed up. It is up to 8 charters long and all lower case.

Both the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: and the Incoming mail server: are set to mail.pcez.com (in lower case only).

Mail Server Type is a POP3.

Select the Groups Server under the Category side.


Where it says Discussion groups (news) server: put in news.pcez.com

Click Ok at the bottom of the box. You're done!
