The Southern Pacific 4449 is a Lima Northern type locomotive built in 1941. It is a 4-8-4 configuration. In 2002 it was repainted with the Freedom Train colors. The first pictures on this web site are Carl Gray's pictures from March of 2002. The second group of pictures are from July 3, 2009 on the start of it journey to Owosso, Michigan for Train Festival 2009. (Click on any picture to enlarge.)
