"[(4560) Nicholas] lived and died in Evens, East Friesland, Germany and died before 1662. He left property in Odsterbeus between Norden and Esens to his children. The author of this quotes "We have 30 pages Xeroxed from Aur?ch, Germany, but not translated, on this land. His children:

    "Albany, 3 June 1679
    The Plaintiff, ex officia, demands of the defendants the fine provided by ordinances for having fought together at Papsknee [Is., Schodack, Rensselaer, NY] offering to prove it by testimony of Arent Jacobse. He says further that he has been informed that the dispute arose from the fact that (4563i[1]) Jan Thomase [Witbeck] drove his hogs on Gert. Teunise's [Van Vechten] field of pease, across the kill.
    Arent Jacobse, being sworn, says that he was at Keesoom's house, at dinner, and he heard some noise, whereupon he went out and saw Jan Thomase having hold of Gert Teunise's body, before his door, while (4563i) Geertruy, Jan Thomase's wife, was beating Gert. Teunise. Geertruy says that Gert. Teunise struck her husband, her son, and herself..."

  • "...15 Aug 1661 (4554) Cristoffel Davidts sells to Geertuy Andriessen [not ours], widow of Jacob Jansen Stoll (marriage not on record in either Kingston or Manhattan), land in Esopus. On north is Madame Ebbingh; on south is Jurriaen Westvael. Two parcels, about 36 morgens, plus about 20 morgens of pasture land, extending to woods. Price: 1400 guilders, of which Davidts has been paid all but 600, per agreement with Stoll, 13 July 1657; rest of debt is transferred to Jeremias van Rensselaer. (This Geertruyd Andriessen marries Aert Martensen Doorn in Kingston 18 Dec 1661; she dies before 1682.)

    "21 Oct 1679 (4563v[1] Jan Thomasz from Witbeck (or Ostenfeld), ailing, and (4563v) GeertruydtAndries’s daughter,” born at New York (m. New Amsterdam 10 Jne 1648 [but I can't find any such marriage record]), both dwelling at Paepsackane, about an hour’s journey from New Albany, make a will. (4563i) Jan Andriesen witnesses...Pearson I:377."

    "The first record we have of (4560) Andries Lucaszen was a declaration he made before Cornelis van Tienhoven 28 Sept. 1648 in behalf of Govert Loockermans in which he have his age as 53... [L] signed this statement;;; with his mark, which resembled a printed four (4) with a verticle mark crossing the horizontal line and an "X" on the verticle line. He was a gauger of barrels and also a fire warden. On April 17, 1657 he appeared and registered as a Lesser Burger in New Amsterdam...

    Lucas Andrieszen was a skipper. He and his partner, jan Joosten, bought a yacht called "Eentracht" (Union)... They carried goods of various kind between Boston, Mass., and New Amsterdam and between New Amsterdam and New Oringen (Albany)..."
