"...unto my daughter Rosetta the wife of William Fricker her heirs and assigns absolutely and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my said Estate and Effects after the decease of my said dear wife I give devise and bequeath the same unto my said three children share and share alike as tenants in common.

"William Fricker is listed at (what became) no. 279 in the 1841, 1851, 1861 and 1871 censuses. Edward Albert Fricker (a son?) lived at no. 241 according to a trade directory from 1890. An egg and butter business was established at this address by 1839 and was still running into the 20th century.

Burnell is and Anglo-Saxon name from the same area. Family tradition is that (79) Mary Ann's last name was ""Lewin", but the IGI and the marriage certificate both show her as "Mary Ann Lewin Burnell". The marriage is recorded in Parish registers, 1745-1900 Church of England. St. Matthew's Church (Bethnal Green, Middlesex). Microfilm of original records at the London Metropolitan Archives, London. Mary Ann is shown to have been a spinster at time of marriage. They were married by license in the church, with no consenting party listed.

The name "Lewin" is also a common Jewish name in England, but there is no family tradition of any Jews in this family. As for the "Burnell" name, a John Burnell was Lord Mayor of London in 1787.
